Man Tracking
Designed to provide basic fundamentals of Man Tracking for SAR personnel in the Wilderness environment during both day and night time conditions.

Tactical Man Tracking
An expansion of our regular Man-Tracking course but specifically provides instruction on tactical tracking of all missing persons, including people that are trying to evade detection. It is tailored for Law Enforcement Officials with the use of long guns to provide tactics for cover fire, tactical formations, and mission critical objectives.

Land Navigation
Designed to provide basic land navigation skills for SAR personnel utilizing paper maps, 1:24,000 grid reader, and orienteering compass, to apply skills finding Land Nav points.

Land Search Field Team Member NC-8100
The Land Search Field Team Member (FTM) is the foundation for response to a lost or missing person incident including ground search for a missing aircraft. This standard is the minimum recommended training for those responders not already governed by a training guideline for response to persons in distress. Additionally, this standard does not purport to address all hazards, safety concerns, or skill requirements for a local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Upon completion of this course, the FTM should be able to: Understand the principles of search and rescue, navigate accurately on land, and survive an unexpected wilderness emergency. The FTM should be capable of performing these functions anytime of the year, day or night, and in all weather conditions experienced in the State of North Carolina.
The NCEM Land Search Field Team Member (FTM) Standard provides State-level credentialing of first responders to a national standard and meets the requirements for knowledge, skills, and abilities set forth in ASTM F2209 and NIMS Wilderness Search Technician.
This course, comprised of both classroom and field-based instruction, will cover objectives such as:
SAR Operations, Legal Aspects of SAR, Personal Equipment, Wilderness Survival, Land Navigation, Search Skills, Incident Site Procedures, Basic Rescue Operations, Helicopter and Aircraft, Operations, Field Communications

Wilderness First Aid (ASHI)
This Wilderness First Aid Course is designed to give individuals the knowledge to render first aid in a wilderness setting with limited resources and access to conventional medical care. This course can be tailored to your organizations requirements and abilities to be an effective searcher or someone who workers in a wilderness setting. Classes offered to searchers will incorporate a search component, treatment of the victim, monitoring the victim overnight until the the victim can be extracted.
Hours: a minimum of 16 hours up to 40 hours depending on course design and objectives.

SAR Topo Mapping
This course will introduce students to the SAR-Topo software, the Mobile App and how it can be used in the search environment. Mapping software is a valuable tool to be used in SAR Incidents, Pre-Planning, Natural Disasters and Tracking Personnel. All students should bring laptops to class with a external mouse.

Managing Inland Search Function
Managing Inland Search Function course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead and manage search and rescue (SAR) operations in inland environments, including wilderness areas, urban settings, and rural terrains, focusing on critical decision-making, planning, resource allocation, and operational oversight during a missing person incident, from initial response through search execution and closure.

ATV/UTV for SAR Basic
ATV/UTV for SAR Basic course is a detailed training program designed to teach Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel how to safely operate All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) in various terrain conditions, focusing on techniques specific to search operations, including navigating challenging landscapes, safely transporting equipment and potential patients, and performing necessary vehicle maintenance in remote areas while prioritizing safety standards for both the operator and those being rescued.

ATV/UTV Advanced
This ATV/UTV Course is a expansion of the ATV/UTV for SAR course, it goes more in depth on SAR Tactics, Recovery, advanced obstacles and diverse terrain riding. This course will increase the time in the saddle so to speak operating a ATV/UTV. This course will take place at different locations of varying terrain. Completion of ATV/UTV for SAR Basic is required prior to registering for this course.

Wilderness Survival
Wilderness survival course teaches the skills for surviving in the wild, including shelter building, fire making, and finding water. It will emphasize the importance of having the knowledge, skills and ability to survive and being prepared with certain pieces of survival equipment.

Land Search Field Team Leader
Land Search Field Team Leader course is an expansion of Land Search Field Team Member course. It is design to turn members in to Team Leaders and provide them with the training necessary to overcome obstacles faced by SAR Team to complete the mission assigned. Team cohesion, Team Management and Leadership abilities will be used to overcome the challenges of the course. Completion of NC 8100 LSFTM course is required prior to registering for this course.

Drone Operator FAA Part 107
Course is designed to provide instruction to prepare student for the FAA 107 exam and to provide hands on skills utilizing a variety of Drone platforms and software.
